Description

In this course, led by a marine scientist specializing in sharks, we separate fact from fiction and assemble the latest findings in white shark research, the lectures peppered with fascinating information in addition to white shark trivia you guaranteed didn't know already.

The Western Cape provides an ideal setting for frequent encounters and opportunities to study the white shark, drawing international researchers, documentary film crews and avid shark divers to learn more about the largest predatory fish on the planet. The social animal it is, we endeavor to directly observe the predatory behavior of the white shark around the renowned Seal Island, followed by in-water sessions learning about its prey, the South African fur seal, and a number of cage dives to get a close-up acquaintance with the shark.
